Having the fever subside was a good thing and was looking forward to being discharged.
However, during the night, I experienced difficulties in breathing.
The next day, during a routine walkabout by some HODs of the hospital, Dr K Kwek listened to my lungs and decided that there were some serious problem with me.
So I was sent to this place called the POA where I was observed.
Still having difficulties breathing and BP was exceptionally high.
I could not remember when but soon I found myself waking up in ICU.
The next few days went on in a blur.
Lotsa blood were taken and many tests were done.
An x-ray was also taken to see how my lungs were. But need to be exceptionally cautious cos Baby was still in me.
Results came back and I was diagnosed with severe pneumonia in both lungs and pre-eclempsia.
Risks for both were very high. Couldnt remember much about pneumonia except that it was infection in the lungs. Pre-eclempsia was worrying cos it may lead to liver and kidney failure.
So I stayed in ICU for the next 7 days.
All went on in a blur for me. All I rememebered was being on antibiotics, on the drip, changing my dripline 4 times in all, lotsa blood taking till my foot wasnt spared too.
2 groups of docs were looking after me. one for the pneumonia and the other from Obstrictian and Gyneacology. I had to be monitored so was Baby. They had to make sure that he was doing fine in me as well.
Sorry Baby dearie, for having you to go through so much.
Mummy love you lots.

Traumatic Experience Part 1
Well, not one into blogging but looking back at what had happened the past 2 weeks, i guess it is worth the while to write about it. I guess it is kinda theraptic for me, to write about it all.
It all started with a persistent fever that is higher than 38.5 degrees. Hubby had no choice but to send me to a GP on 21 May bout 12midnight. The doc suggested that I be admitted into KK or Mount A where I am suppposed to deliver. I decided to go for KK in case there is any emergency, it is better equipped than Mount A.
So I was admitted into KK at bout 2 am. Was sent to the deliver suite just in case i need to deliver. Was monitored for my fever. Realised that BP is very high too. Suspected pre-eclempsia (hypertension during pregnancy). Started drawing blood and doing lab tests.
Fever finally went down after 2 days. but definitely having hypertension as the BP refuse to do down. Blood and urine samples also shown signs of it thus was sent to the ward for further observation.
Well, this is just the first part with regards to having fever. The more traumatic part is yet to come... ...
